They attack the mobile prison holding Mystique to free her, also freeing Multiple Man and Juggernaut. With help from Pyro, Magneto recruits Callisto and several other mutants. Magneto re-establishes his Brotherhood of Mutants with those who oppose the cure, warning his followers that the cure will be forcibly used to exterminate the mutant race. While some mutants are interested in the cure, including Rogue, many others are horrified by the announcement. The cure is created from the genome of a young mutant named Jimmy, who lives at the Worthington facility on Alcatraz Island. In the present, Worthington Labs announces it has developed an inoculation to suppress the X-gene that gives mutants their abilities and offer the "cure" to any mutant who wants it. Ten years later in 1996, the industrialist Warren Worthington II discovers his son is a mutant as he tries to cut off his wings. In 1986, Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr meet young Jean Grey at her parents' house to invite her to join their school, the X-Mansion.

It has been improved in this patch as you can now unlock creature cards with it. The PEEP.R was a feature introduced in a previous major update. Aside from the two turrets, there’s also the new Explosive Burr Trap, which is a highly volatile trap that explodes as soon as any bug hits it. This is best used against flying bugs, so do build and place the Pollen Turret strategically around your base for maximum effect. The second is the Pollen Turret and, as the name implies, this structure shoots pollen that can stun enemies. The first is the Pebblet Turret which fires pebblets at high speeds to destroy enemies. Two turrets have been added in The Bugs Strike Back Update. The good thing is that there are new defensive structures you can deploy to keep them at bay. Annoy a particular species of bugs enough and you’ll find them swarming your base shortly after.

This update also brings an improved PEEP.R.īugs have become more feisty in Grounded, and they’re not afraid to take the fight back to your base if you intrude in their territory. The Bugs Strike Back Update adds new defensive systems that allow you to eliminate any bugs that may come to your base. Developer Obsidian Entertainment has launched a new patch for Grounded.
